Why some pages are still in English

English is the original. We translate in waves. A Dutch or Spanish header with an English article usually means that article has not been translated yet, not that your setting is broken. Help articles on this support site are written in English first and then translated. Most articles are available in many languages, but a new or recently updated article can stay in English for a while. If a whole site chrome (buttons, menu) is in the wrong language, see I am seeing the wrong

How to switch language

The language control is in the site header, not buried in account billing. Switching language adds a language and country code to the web address, for example support.unite.gay/nl-nl. On https://network.unite.gay/ or https://support.unite.gay/, look in the header for a globe or the current language name. Pick your language. The page should reload. If the header has no control, email support@unite.gay with the language you want rather than typing language codes into the addres

How to block someone

We do not advertise a site-wide block button on every screen. If you see Block on a member profile or in a message thread, use it. If you do not, report them instead: we would rather act than pretend a control exists. Open the member’s profile while signed in. Look for Block, Mute, or a similar control in the profile menu. If nothing is there, follow How to report a member and say you want no further contact. Leave any group where they are targeting you (How to leave a group)

How to report a bad translation

Send us the wrong word, the copied-from-another-country sentence, or the line that sounds like a machine. We would rather fix one paragraph than leave Chile labelled as Mexico. Copy the page URL. Quote the bad sentence and, if you can, a better one in that language. Email support@unite.gay with subject Translation. Name the language and country (for example Spanish / Chile, French / Belgium). Formal “you” versus informal matters to people. We will not publish a user-submitted
