How to block someone

We do not advertise a site-wide block button on every screen. If you see Block on a member profile or in a message thread, use it. If you do not, report them instead — we would rather act than pretend a control exists.

Open the member’s profile while signed in.
Look for Block, Mute, or a similar control in the profile menu.
If nothing is there, follow How to report a member and say you want no further contact.
Leave any group where they are targeting you (How to leave a group) if that helps immediately.

Blocking, when it exists, is not the same as a police report. If you are threatened in real life, use local emergency services.
