Why am I asked to verify my age or identity?

Unite Gay Network is an adult community. Checking age, and sometimes identity, keeps minors out and makes fake profiles harder to create. It helps everyone trust who they are talking to.

  1. During or after joining, you may be asked to verify. This can be a check inside the join form, or an email from us with a personal link.

  2. Follow the steps on screen. You may be asked for a photo of an ID document or a quick age check.

  3. Some checks send you a code by email. Type that code into the page that asked for it. You do not need to forward it to us.

  4. After a successful check, your account may need a short review by our team before it opens.

Joining Unite Gay Network is free, and so is verification. If anyone asks you to pay to verify, do not pay. Write to us.

Verification links are personal and expire. If yours no longer works, email us and we will help.

Your verification details are used for the check and are not shown on your profile. See How we use your data and https://www.unite.gay/privacy.
