I replied to a notification email. Why did nobody answer?

When someone posts or comments in one of your groups, we send you an email about it. It is natural to hit Reply and write back. But that email comes from support@unite.gay, so your reply lands with our support team. The member who posted never sees it.

To answer a post or talk to the person who wrote it, go to the Network.

  1. Open the notification email and use the link or button that takes you to the post.

  2. Sign in at https://network.unite.gay/ if the site asks you to.

  3. To answer in the group, write in the comment field under the post. Everyone in that group can read comments.

  4. To write to one person instead, see How do I message another member privately?

Please do not put your phone number, WhatsApp or other personal contact details in a reply to a notification email. It does not reach the member, and it is better to keep personal details off email until you trust someone.

Getting too many of these emails? You can turn them down at https://network.unite.gay/account/notifications. See How to manage notifications for more.

You can still reply to a notification email if you want to tell our team something, for example that a post looks like spam.

Still need help?
